To demonstrate work that I am capable of producing, here are some items that I have completed during internships and at university. Additionally, I have presented some material that I have produced for high school students, to whom I have given private lessons in mathematics and chemistry.

Retaining Wall and Bearing Capacity Assignment
This is an assignment of which I am quite proud from the subject Geotechnical Engineering. Normally this assignment is completed by a group of three or four students, however, I asked that I might take it on alone since I enjoyed the subject so much. The lecturer allowed me to do this, though with a warning that I was taking on a big challenge. He was of course correct and I was up many a late night, roaming wide eyed through reams and reams of calculations. However I had fun completing it, strange though it may seem, I like becoming so absorbed in a project.
Flood Maps
The following are two of the many flood maps that I produced at Toby Fiander and Associates. Each map represents the collation and distillation huge amounts of data, all processed through several (very clever) software packages. It is a strange feeling to see so much work and information whittled down to such simple looking images, though they are extremely useful in planning and design. I probably produced hundreds of these maps for various projects, each to represent a specific event probability and its particular details - water height, velocity, flow rate etc.
Material for High School Students - Mathematics and Chemistry
For several years now I have enjoyed being a private tutor for High School students studying Maths and Chemistry. I'm very enthusiastic about both of these subjects. In particular, I get a big kick out of imparting their many interesting facets to young students who's minds will, without doubt, benefit from the skills that are required to conquer them. I feel these documents show my ability to convey ideas and communicate effectively through the use of clear language, as well as my capacity to employ word processing software in doing so. Communication is one of the principal skills of any good engineer.
